Webseries have had a fantastic year overall in 2022, and the year is still young. We’ve seen some horrifying shows, like House of the Dragon and Stranger Things, that have left us horrified but also incredibly entertained. 10. Inventing Anna (Netflix)
In Inventing Anna, a journalist with a lot to prove looks into the story of Anna Delvey, the German heiress who became an Instagram sensation after stealing the hearts and cash of New York’s social scene. But is Anna the largest con artist in New York, or is she just the latest representation of the American dream? As Anna waits for her trial and our reporter races against time to find out who Anna Delvey is, they develop a darkly humorous love-hate relationship. How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People by Jessica Pressler, who also acts as a producer, was the source for the series’ inspiration.
9. Ozark (Netflix)
The Byrdes and their teenagers Charlotte and Jonah appear to be, and for the most part are, typical families leading typical lives. But the main money launderer for Mexico’s second-largest drug cartel is Marty’s husband or father, a Chicago financial planner. When things go wrong, he has to move his family away from the Chicago skyscrapers and into the Missouri Ozarks’ quiet lake region.
8. The Sandman (Netflix)
The movie adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s cult favorite comic took 25 years to come out. With a series that peaked at No. 1 on IMDb and has received 393 million hours of viewing to date, Netflix has at last delivered. In an effort to negotiate for perpetual life, a wizard traps Dream’s younger brother, Death, instead. The wizard kept him imprisoned in a glass container for many years out of concern for his safety. Dream, also known as Morpheus, flees and sets off in search of his stolen magical items.
7. Moon Knight (Disney+)
It follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered clerk at a gift shop, who starts experiencing blackouts and flashbacks to a different existence. Steven learns he has dissociative identity disorder and that the assassin Marc Spector shares his body. They must manage their complicated identities while being thrown into a deadly mystery amid the great gods of Egypt as Steven and Marc’s foes close in on them, best webseries of 2022 so far.
6. The Boys (Amazon Prime)
Most of them are haughty and corrupt outside of their heroic identities. The titular Boys, vigilantes trying to rein in corrupted heroes, and the Seven, the top superhero squad from Vought International, are the two main subjects of the story. Billy Butcher, the leader of the Boys, who despises everyone with superpowers, and Homelander, the pompous and erratic leader of the Seven. Hugh “Hughie” Campbell of the Boys, who joins the vigilantes after his girlfriend is killed in a high-speed collision by the Seven’s A-Train, and Annie January/Starlight of the Seven, a hopeful young heroine forced to face the truth about the heroes she admires, are two new characters who are followed as conflict develops between the two teams.
5. Euphoria (HBO MAX)
The contentious and popular show finished Season 2 as the second-most-viewed HBO show in history. As a result of the emotionally charged season, Zendaya won her second Emmy, making her the youngest double winner in the history of the ceremony. An examination of the struggles that a group of high school teenagers face as they deal with issues related to drugs, sex, and violence The friendship between Rue, a recovering addict, and Jules, a newcomer to the area, is the main subject of the television series. 2. House of the Dragon (HBO MAX)
The HBO original “Game of Thrones” prequel series opened to the biggest premiere audience in the network’s history, shattering previous viewing records. Unsurprisingly, “House of the Dragon” was almost instantly renewed for a second season. With more than 10 dragons under the Targaryen dynasty’s control, they are at the pinnacle of their power. Empires that reach such heights typically fall. When King Viserys names his daughter Rhaenyra as the successor to the Iron Throne, he defies a century of tradition, which marks the beginning of the Targaryens’ slow downfall. However, the court is startled when Rhaenyra maintains her status as his heir when Viserys subsequently bears a boy, and discord spreads throughout the realm as a result.

In a little town where everyone knows each other, a strange occurrence sets off a series of incidents that result in a youngster being missing and start to rip apart the otherwise tranquil society. Dark government agencies and supernatural entities that appear to be evil descend on the village, and some of its inhabitants start to realize that something is not quite as it seems.
